Café Bustelo

So a couple of days ago, we ran out of coffee.  We immediately headed to the store where we normally buy it, and to our horror, they were all out!!!!  No Bueno!!!   We began our search for Bustelo.

NO luck!  Not one single supermarket, close to us, had this coffee.  In all the other states I’ve lived in, Café Bustelo was always found at our local Walmart.  However, that’s not the case here.

Of course I could have family ship us some from Puerto Rico, but my husband decided to check…..ok where else?  Yes, Amazon!  After a quick search, he found it, and ordered two gigantic cans.  With Amazon Prime, two days later, our coffee is here.

I am a happy lady now, and even though my coffee is NOT the best, (never watched my mom make it) I still need that morning cup of Bustelo, to get me going.  The aroma just fills the house in the mornings.  For those of you looking for a great, STRONG coffee, you will have to search no more.  One cup of this coffee, will surely give you the caffeine kick you need.

I’m thinking about ordering one of these Primula, Stove-Top Espresso Maker, ( we call them Greca) my mom used this, and her coffee was great!!!  I’ve also seen several family members use them.  So just maybe…..if I get the exact measurements from them, my Café will be just as good!!

And now that Christmas is right around the corner, maybe I’ll share with you, my mom’s Coquito (puertorican egg nog) recipe.  Just adding a bit to your morning coffee during the holidays, will make it delicious!!!

Have a blessed week!!

If this coffee is as good as the food from Puerto Rico, it’s got to be great!

It really is. Unfortunately, I’m really bad at making coffee. I just ordered the Greca, hopefully this will help. We do have some great PR dishes. I should cook them more often.
