Favorite Hair Products

Hi there Fashionistas!

I have been asked several times what hair products I use, so I’ve decided to share with you some of my favorite items, and where you can purchase them.  These are products that have been used on my hair by different stylists throughout the years, and I’ve continued to use them on a regular basis.

First, I always use coconut oil on my hair as a leave in conditioner at least twice a week.  If you didn’t read my post about my favorite coconut oil (here) please do.  Coconut oil is a great moisturizer for your hair and skin, can be used as a makeup remover, and as a butter/oil substitute.  I use coconut oil for EVERY THING.  I keep a jar in my kitchen and one in my bathroom.  You can find inexpensive brands at Target, Walgreens, Walmart or Trader Joe’s.  I’ve tried several brands, but I’m just partial to this one.

After I wash my hair (shampoo/conditioner here) I use Bumble and Bumble – Bb Straight.  This product keeps the frizz away, and is great to use if you are going to blow dry and flat iron your hair.  I then blow dry my hair, with my light-weight dryer (here).

For styling my pixie cut, I have a few different products.  The one I use the most is Schwarzkopf Thrill Fibre Gum.  I’ve been using this one for years.  I love the smell, texture and the shine it leaves on my hair.  Another favorite is the L’Oreal Texture Expert architecture. This one is a paste and goes on smooth, a little goes a long way.

This last one is my absolute favorite, Ribbons Fiber Styling Paste by Philippe Bevan and I just found out while blogging this post, that they do sell it online, directly from their Beauty Lounge in Saratoga Springs, NY.  It’s a gummy paste, and the smell is absolutely DIVINE; while holding your hair perfectly in place.

I know some of these items can be pricey, but they tend to last quite a while.  Hope this helps answering some of your questions, about my daily styling regime.

Blessings!
