Happy 51st to Me

DSC_4675

Hola Fashionistas!

I’m finally settled back home, and just reminiscing about one of my favorite places, Isla Mujeres.

If you’ve been following my blog, you know that I usually celebrate my birthday on this gorgeous island.  The people, food, culture and beach are simply wonderful.  I can’t think of any other place, where I would want to be on this special day.  It’s such an awesome island, no worries about makeup, high-heels or getting all dressed up!

Our routine is pretty much the same the entire week we are there, we get up early, walk around town, and spend the rest of the day at the beach or by the pool.  It’s just a week of blissful laziness, accompanied by beautiful views and great food.

On this visit, we had a great time getting to know the locals and riding around the island, stopping at several of the restaurants in town and touring The Plastic Floating Island. Definitely a must do, if you visit isla.  Richart will give you a tour of his floating island, as he explains everything there is to know about his eco-friendly home.  Simply brilliant!

There’s also the turtle farm, swimming with the dolphins, snorkling and zip-lining on the island. It just depends what you want to do. This time around, we just relaxed, took in the sights and ate. A lot!

Thank you all very much, for the birthday wishes left on my Instagram account.  It’s a true blessing to turn 51; renewed, happy, healthy, peaceful and full of joy.

Hasta pronto, Isla.

Blessings!
