Holiday Looks

Hola Fashionistas.

In partnership with Ridgedale Center and because we’re all celebrating the holidays and want to look fabulous for all our gatherings, today I’m sharing with you three chic looks to wear to your office, family and evening parties this holiday season.

My first stop was Tommy Bahama to look for something casual for a family gathering.  I wanted something festive, but also comfortable.

During family gatherings we tend to indulge, so I wanted something that would allow the comfort of eating, laughing and still look chic.

The first outfit I tried on was a black jumpsuit layered with two different cardigans.  I loved both looks, especially the black on black.  The jumper was super comfortable.  Definitely a look I could go for.

You all know I love sweater dresses, so I had to try this one on. This style can be worn as a dress, or as a cardigan.  I would style this with black tights and a pair of booties.  Perfect!

The last outfit I tried on was my absolute favorite.  As soon as I saw this velvet top, I knew this had to be part of my outfit.  The material was so soft and who doesn’t love velvet for the holidays?

These double waistband ponte pants went nicely with the top.  They are ankle length, so I have the option to wear some cute socks and boots with this look.

My family gathering pick.  Styled with gold booties.

My second stop was at Ann Taylor.  We all have that holiday gathering at the office where we want to look festive, while remaining professional.

I have to admit that this was an easy pick.

As soon as I walked in, I saw this shimmery navy blue sweater and I was immediately drawn to it.  The color was fabulous.

Now I had to find the perfect pants to wear with this top. The wonderful sales associate found three different pairs for me to try on.  All were different in style.

The first were the lace hem ankle pants.

Luckily they found a pair of pumps for me to try them on with.  I liked this look, office appropriate and chic.

They also found another sweater to try on, but I was sold on the navy shimmer top.

The second were a pair of black wide leg pants.

These were also cute, and the fit was perfect.  But I had my eyes on the last pair.

The ankle pants in navy.

Off topic for a minute.  Did you know that Pantone just announced the color of the year for 2020?  Classic Blue.  I knew I was onto something.

I loved these pants with the top.  The shimmer is perfect for this time of the year.  You can even add a blazer to this look.

I will style this look with a pair of black, high heeled booties.

Now, we’re off to Macy’s for my final look, evening holiday wear.  This was another easy find.  This was me spotting what I wanted as soon as I walked in.  Now all I needed to do was go to the clothing section to find it.

As we headed upstairs we walked by a sign that directed us to the Macy’s Stylists.  I didn’t even know that these wonderful ladies were there.  Instead of walking around aimlessly, looking for my item, I met with the wonderful stylists.

My skirt was found!  It was love at first sight.

This BCBGMAXAZRIA tulle, tutu skirt is gorgeous.  You can see why I had to find it for my holiday evening outfit.  Layers and layers of tulle.

Now I had to find the perfect top for it.  Love the mix of textures here.

The gold tops worked beautifully with the skirt and I ended up getting the jacket and gold camisole to style with it.  However, the day I wore it, I decided on a plain, black fitted top.

Bellas, this concludes my holiday wear suggestions.  All these pieces can be found in the stores mentioned, at Ridgedale Center on Wayzata Blvd.

Thank you, to all the wonderful sales associates from Tommy Bahama and Ann Taylor.   Special thanks to the Macy’s stylist at Ridgedale Center, especially Tris Nelson for helping me with this fabulous look.

Happy Holidays,
